SHERIFF’S ADULT DETENTION CENTER DETAINEE COMMISSARY VENDOR EXPANDS PURCHASE ORDERING OVER THE WEB: Jefferson County, Arkansas – With looming issues relative to a decline in revenue projected by Jefferson County fiscal affairs leaders and the governing body, the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center overseen by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified additional ways to increase their potential to increase revenue and make it more convenient for the family and friends of detainees jailed to purchase commissary.

Since most of the detention facilities existence, detainees have been afforded the opportunity to order jail commissary through Tiger Corrections, a company contracted by the detention facility to fill orders for items ranging from snacks to socks for detainees with money on their books.  Previously, detainees were dependent upon family and friends utilizing a kiosk like machine to load money electronically in order to enable them to transfer funds to use towards the purchase of commissary items.

Now, Tiger Corrections has expanded its order and purchasing availability by creating a site, http://www.tigerdeposits.com/  Friends and families of detainees may now order commissary or put money on a detainees books anytime anywhere as long as internet access in available via computer or smartphone.  The new means of ordering and purchasing commissary is simple and convenient.  Additionally, this new ordering and purchasing system could double commissary revenue all while making it more convenient for users.  Acceptable means of credit are Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
