Deputy Completes Field Training Officer Course:  The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) is proud to announce that Corporal Reagan Korban with the Uniformed Patrol Division has graduated from the Field Training Officer (FTO) Course, held at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, Camden, AR August 12-16, 2024.

This 40-hour course provides law enforcement officers with a perspective and understanding of various roles they must fulfill as an FTO within a law enforcement agencies training program. The field training program with the JCSO, lasts approximately 12 weeks, and trains our deputies in all areas of responsibility held by the Uniformed Patrol Division. The deputies spend these 12 weeks riding with an FTO under their close supervision. Once this period of training is completed, and with the approval of their FTO, deputies are allowed to patrol without an FTO riding with them.

Corporal Korban has been employed with the JCSO since August 16, 2022. She was promoted to her current rank June 16, 2023. Corporal Korban has been in law enforcement since March 2020 and has served with the Pine Bluff and Warren Police Departments.

Along with graduating from this prestigious course and joining the ranks of other FTOs in the state of Arkansas, Corporal Korban was also named Uniformed Patrol Division Deputy of the month for July 2024.

Again, we are proud of Corporal Korban's accomplishments and awards within the JCSO and look forward to seeing many more in her future as well as the affect she will have on those she will train.
