SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES  SEARCH FOR, AND LOCATE, CRASHED AIRCRAFT AND ITS PILOT:  On February 5, 2025, at approximately 7:02 pm the Metropolitan Emergency Communications Association (MECA) received a phone call from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advising that a plane, was scheduled to land at the Grider Field Airport, Pine Bluff, AR, two hours ago and that they had not heard from the pilot. At approximately 7:09 pm MECA received a phone call from a person stating he was the pilot of the plane and had crashed. Jefferson and Lincoln County Deputies, Arkansas State Police, as well as other first responders and Grider Field Airport personnel began a search for the pilot.

At approximately 8:00 pm the pilot, along with his plane, were located in Lincoln County by Sheriff's Deputies. The pilot appears to have no serious injuries and there were no other persons onboard the plane. No one was injured on the ground and no property appears to be damaged.
