JAIL SUPERVISOR FINDS CONTRABAND ON INDIVIDUAL IN JAIL:  On February 16, 2025, at approximately 7:30 am a supervisor from the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center (DBDC) found contraband in the form of tobacco and suspected marijuana on an individual who had entered the facility as part of the detention centers "Clean team" program. This program allows for persons to work at the facility as part of their sentence rather than being detained within the facility.

The jail supervisor noticed the smell of marijuana coming from Tamara Haltiwanger and further investigation revealed a package on her person containing approximately 3.2 ounces of suspected marijuana and approximately 7 ounces of tobacco.

Haltiwanger, a 20-yerar-old female was later booked into the DBDC on the charge of A.C.A. 5-54-119 Furnishing Prohibited Articles and A.C.A. 5-64-436 Possession of a Scheduled VI Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver. Haltiwanger will appear before court for a probable cause hearing at a later date.

We are again proud of our jail staff and their continued efforts to keep contraband out of our facilities.
